One in a while, I dream to this huge brown bear. He's beautiful. His fangs are predator pearl, lethal, but with the wear and tear of older animals, his claws are like a cats; needle sharp, but black and glossy. His fur, I think, is think and rough. I wouldn't know, though, since I never touched him. Anyway, this bear pops up here and then to give me some sound advise. He likes to work in symbolism. Once he tore half of my face off to make a point.

Anyway, in my dream last night I was sitting in front of a cave with a very little opening, throwing stones through the hole. I knew something was in there. I knew it wasn't going to be good news, but I can be pretty daft in my dreams. Suddenly this HUGE bear jumps out. His head is normal bear size, but his body is like a enormous balloon filled with water. This is NOT my regular bear, there's something foul and unnatural about this one. I am weary. He tries to reach me, but is held back by a chain fastened around his leg. Then he starts all sort of trickery to get me to release him, but luckily I'm not THAT daft.
I really should stop reading just before bedtime.

Managed to get some writing done yesterday, in between painting the bathroom and packing orders. I'm halfway through chapter 2 of Arvingen. Someone suggested that I should take what I have, give the thing a rough polish and send it to either Gyldendal or Carlsens. I definitely don't want to spend as much time on this as TDH, it is going out this year, but I do want to have the whole thing ready and polished before sending anything anywhere. This is not an excuse, I am capable of finishing something and sending it out. Peppino was done in a matter of months. I don't know what happened to it. Either it's lying under some desk at the TV station or they threw it out without looking at it - and that's why B can't seem to get any response out of them either way. He's worried that they might have gone ahead and produced it. I think it's much more likely that they a. didn't bother to look at it - or b. hated it.
