Jan. 3rd, 2005 11:38 amStarted today already yesterday by writing down a schedule. Began the morning with 1 hour of writing. The result was pathetic: 103 words. However, it's 103 words more than I would have written if I hadn't made the schedule. The writing was followed by 1 hour of housework and then 1 hour of bead shop work.
I feel good about this new story I've started on. It's called Elpida, which is the Greek work for hope. Of course I always feel good about new stories, it's when I reach the middle and realize that I am totally unorganized that the story starts to loose its appeal.
Had some new ideas for The Hunt, Ronan will no longer be likable or competent. After all, he's making some incompetent deciscions, so why try to cover up for him? Also, I'll put Adric in Carricks office when Rune first arrives and thus limit the many POVs.
Finished The Painted Veil by W. Somerset Maugham. I enjoyed the story and I am absolutely in awe of his character descriptions.
