I took the morning off to edit chapter 1 of the Hunt and suddenly it's almost three o'clock! I haven't finished, but the bead shop waits for no-one. I'm quite pleased with my progress - not because I did a staggering amount of work, but because I enjoyed myself. Adric has finally decided to start talking to me and I feel his character is coming across much better on the page. The four reviews I received last time I posted this chapter to the workshop have been invaluable, particularly the one from pjthompson. By correcting the flaws in logic that she pointed out, I noticed how the pacing, setting and characterization improved - it was like fitting together a jig-saw puzzle.

Well, better get off this writing high and start working.
