I'm allergic to most mascaras. Even the body shop's best hypo-allergenic products make my eyes swell like those of a prize boxer on a bad day. So it is fair to say that I'm particular when it comes to lengthening my abysmally short eyelashes. It used to be easy, Pierre Robert and Nivea are safe - or that is, they were. Today I headed straight for the Nivea stand, ready to grab my usual mascara - only it wasn't there. Make-up has become a science. I could chose between mascaras that would make my lashes thicker, those that would make my lashes thicker and longer, those that would make my lashes longer, and those that would make my lashes longer and curlier AND last all day - all in waterproof and non-waterproof versions. After much speculation about the exact nature of my eyelashes, I chose the latter. Now all that remains is to see whether I'm allergic to it or not.
Getting the nail-polish was much easier. Speed-dry is the only way to go for someone as impatient as me.
AND I even bought a lipstick, although I'm not a lipstick kinda girl - or a makeup kinda girl for that matter. So what brought all this on? The up-coming wedding in Greece, and...the hair-cut! Yesterday, in a fit of I-can-manage-myself-pretty-darned-well-in-this-country, I booked a hairdressing appointment. My hair is now freshly cut and about 7 cm shorter. Am feeling very girly-girl. To get out of this unusual state of mind, I promptly bought three books afterwards and a little present for C. *grin*
Less exciting news is that my inner ear (left side) appears to be fluttering. Almost as if I have a fly stuck in there. It has been fluttering since yesterday, but I'm not sure whether it's a MS exacerbation or a standard ear-fluttering thing. C thinks it's a fruit fly - Drosophilia sp. he he
And now it's LUNCH TIME!!!! *hungry*
