Sep. 19th, 2005 10:58 amWork, work, work. I'd just gotten out of the bathroom when it started with a phone call from UPS Hong Kong. While I was on the phone, the door bell rang; postman with two sample deliveries from the Czech Republic. Since I was already at it, I answered all work related E-mails, when the door bell rang again; UPS delivery from China. 44 kgs of beads, which I've now hauled up three floors to the apartment.
I thought the exacerbation from Greece had completely vanished, but carrying the beads has proved that it hasn't. My right arm and hand are so weak that I'm having problems typing. *insert apropriate swearing and depression*
Fisen had a kitten-romp around the apartment Saturday night. It involved mad dashing, rabbit jumps and leaps, wild climbing, screeching U-turns and deep throated Meooows. I heard the clonk when he hit a chair, but since his speed didn't diminish, I assumed he was okay. Only yesterday it became obvious that his foot was aching. So we're spoiling him and trying to anticipate his every need. Today he's started to put a bit of weight on the sore paw, so it's going in the right direction. This is what can happen when old kitties think they're young, and yet he'll do the kitten-romp again as soon as the pain is gone. Is there a lesson to be learned here?
