Sep. 16th, 2006 04:46 pmC and I just came back from town. We spied on our competitors and planned our own bead shop in Denmark, bought clothes for C, snacked, and shopped.
The other day, very unlike me, I sat down and planned Arvingen from start to finish, including scenes, pivots, plot and subplots. For the first time I have a clear idea of where this novel is going. For a moment I had serious doubts if it would be too similar to another novel, but a chat with
mnfaure reassured me, so I'm now going ahead with it. I've printed out the 3 1/2 chapter that I wrote ages ago and will do a quick revision of them to match my current story line, then I'll continue with the novel. I've also decided to set myself a deadline and have the first draft finished by December 1st.
I've of course wasted a lot of time checking the homepages of Danish publishers, reading their submission guidelines and daydreaming. I'm telling myself it's motivating.
