Oct. 2nd, 2006 08:51 amIncluding today, I've been working for 15 days straight with a minimum of 8 hours per day, so I've decided to give myself tomorrow off. The whole day. Apart from feeling guilty about it, my only problem is what to do?
mnfaure thinks I should take the day off completely with no writing or commission work. C says wake up in the morning and see what I feel like doing. Suggestions for spoiling one-self will be very appreciated.* :)
Other than that, while waiting for the store to back-up yesterday evening, I picked up my old knitting from 6-7 years ago. It's a Scandinavian sweater and I really only miss one sleeve so it's pathetic that I didn't just finish it. The whole knitting thing came about when I saw the softest wool in Coop last week. I am dying to make a scarf with little pom-poms. BUT my new philosophy of life, one which C approves wholeheartedly of, is not to start any new projects before I've finished the old. I'm not sure what to do with the sweater once it's finished. I was smaller 7 years ago, so I probably won't fit in it any longer and it's not a brilliant piece of work, since I've never done anything like it before and just fubbed my way through it, no pattern, no nothing - not that I know how to follow a pattern come to think of it. Ah well, in any case it'll be something I've finished and that's worth something in itself.
Oh...and the 15 days in a row work? 90% due to my new schedule. This might just turn into a genuine life style.
And for those interested, the shop is updated for October. Take a look at those silver foiled beads, they are gorgeous! Chunky and organic looking. I just might have to make myself a necklace...hey, that's one idea of what to do tomorrow.
*Bear in mind that I have NO friends here and that I'm still struggling with the ezcema, so anything involving beauty, girly stuff is probably out of the question.
