C: *goes shopping with May's Danish payment card, Dankort*
C: "Dankort" *waves card in front of shop assistant.
Shop assistant, speaking Danish: "On the amount?"*
C: "DANKORT!" *waves card wildly*
Shop assistant says no more, but charges card the exact amount.
C comes back to May: "I paid with the card! Everything went fine, although she said something I didn't get."

* With a Dankort, the amount is deducted immediately from your account. You can also withdraw money from the shops. This means that the shop assistant will always ask you if she should charge the card the exact amount or if you want money paid out.
