(no subject)

Since we have just one daft, but sensible cat in our home, we decided not to have a Christmas tree this year, but settled for more moderate decorations. A Santa standing on the piano (Santa was molested several times last year by Jonesy, but he survived), a Christmas calendar candle, and Christmas mobiles. The mobiles are gold-plated, shiny, Danish Design. My mother has given us one each Christmas since our wedding, so now we have six. They went up at 18:00, at 23:00 Jonesy saw them, and by 23:20 they were down again. The place is not very Christmassy.

The new kitty is arriving today! I just realized last night that we forgot to buy kitten food. Bad us! I hope C was awake to hear my exclamation and goes to the pet shop after work today. In any case, the cattery people will probably bring him a small bag of his regular food. I also just realized that while the kitten will eventually be as big as Jonesy one day, right now he's probably still a bit smaller than Felix. I hope the boys won't be too hard on him. I also hope he didn't get any uglier. The last photo we saw of him was from the 12th November, I think.

(no subject)

Kitten has arrived. Felix took a good look at him, sniffed the cat carrier and went to take a nap. Jonesy is interested in him, but also careful and gentle, not pushing the kitten. Kitten isn't sure about Jonesy, but he seems to be coming around. Lots of hisses and growls in someone that tiny, though. The old kitties meet his hysterics with benevolent indulgence. :))

He's not as ugly as I'd feared, actually quite cute, but much smaller than I remember Jonesy being at that age.
