Busy, busy today, but I slept until 9:00 and feel pretty rested. Very little injection side effects so that makes it what 6-7 weeks in a row? That's a new record, I think. I better watch out, I might start taking all this feeling okay for granted. *grin*

C went with MH to see the new Die Hard yesterday. I didn't go. Instead I took the evening off from work and moving issues and instead lay in the tub, then clambered out, put on my old dressing gown and ate chicken wings and fries while reading one of my old Valhalla comics. After that I wrote down some of the ideas that always come to me when I'm splashing around. All Elpida stuff. My brain continued working on Elpida after I went to bed and I now have almost all of chapter 1 in my head, "just" need to write it down.

I still have book love and I've been trying to analyze why. This is what I came up with:

1. I planned this book from the start, and while it's not a scene by scene plan, I know what will happen at the beginning, the middle, the end. This means that I can concentrate on the writing and not worry so much about plot.

2. The day spent on Google, searching for faces to put on my characters was a day well spent. Having an actual face means that I can envision them more vividly, and seeing the characters clearly for my inner eye, means that my subconscious and my conscious works better even when I'm not actually writing.

3. I've become a better writer than I was all those years ago when I started writing the first draft of TDH. I'm not up there with the big guys on OWW, but I'm getting a grasp on the whole craft.
