Cavasses and happiness.
Aug. 27th, 2009 11:11 amHmmmm C brought home canvasses from A-Z yesterday. He insists they were the biggest they had, but they're just 60x80 cm, I could have sworn they have them bigger. So dilemma, dilemma...do I just make a 60x80 painting or do I wait and try to get hold of a bigger canvas? I could of course seperate one painting onto two canvasses, but that's just so 80s and ick*.
And I'm happy, not just content or feeling good, but bubbly happy - today, it's as if life is just beginning and holds untold possibilities. I once read a half-arsed article that speculated that Danes were the happiest people on earth** because we are genetically pre-disposed for happiness and optimism. One of the arguments being that the Vikings had to be optimistic to embark on their long journeys. In my opinion, that theory is a load of hot air, but I have to admit that despite my mumblings and grumblings, I'm often unreasonably happy...aaaand I did grow up just a few kilometres from Ringkøbing, which is the happiest place in Denmark.
EDIT: I decided to go ahead with it. If it turns out to be too small, it will be good practise and if I ever manage to go to the art exhibit, I'll need some pieces to sell, although it probably won't appeal to that broad an audience. :p

**I'm suspecting it's more a case of being content than actually being happy.
