[livejournal.com profile] pjthompson thought she was the last person on earth to do this, but then she tagged me. So here goes:

1. Total number of books owned?

I honestly don't have a clue. I have some at a friend's place in Denmark, some at my parents' place, some under the bed, some in my cupboards, some in my office and some in my bookshelf.

2. The last book I bought?

I bought eight books from Amazone this week. Waiting for them to arrive. See my May 18th post.

3. The last book I read?

"To Kill a Mocking Bird" by Harper Lee - beautiful, rich, layered. I loved it.

4. 5 books that mean a lot to me?

Ohh, this is a difficult one. 5 books that mean a lot to me right now is:

1. "The Little Girl Who Was Too Fond of Matches" by Gaetan Soucy - a disturbing little book, brilliantly written, it'll twist your brains and make you feel absolutely wretched.

2. "Atonement" also by Gaetan Soucy - for all the same reasons, although it doesn't have the impact of the previous book.

3. "Wizard of Earthsea" by Ursula K. LeGuin - the book that opened the door to the world of fantasy for me.

And now I have to start thinking about which ones to add...

4. "Magician" by Raymond E. Feist - This was the book that really cemented my desire to write fantasy. I believe much of my early writing style was quite similar to that of Mr. Feist. :)

5. "Duncton Wood" by William Horwood - Because of the rich, moody setting and because it shows that as long as you write well and of the things that interest you, then there is a good story in everything.

5. Tag 5 people and have them fill this out on their ljs:

I'm going to cheat with this one, but if you haven't done this one yet and would like to, then go ahead! You can send me a short message and I'll add you to the "tagged" list here. :)
