Hush baby, I'm trying to work.
Sep. 27th, 2005 04:48 pmNeighbour's child has been...hmmm,not crying exactly and not screaming exactly - just disgruntled wahing the whole day. It's more or less consistant: wah - wah - wah , although sometimes he/she seems to forget and there's a few minutes silence, and at other times the wah reach new volumes with a WAAAAAH! at such times it might even turn into a hicupping sob.
He/she has been crying a lot around baby bedtime, but it's been a long time since we had an all day wailing. Part of me want to go down and make him/her stop, another part of me is silently whooping with joy for not having any children.
Got up early to sort beads. Did so until my fingertips ached too much to continue, then I started painting (I use cotton buds for smudging, so no finger-pain there) and now I've run out of dark brown! This means I'll have to go to the art store tomorrow and stock up on pastels.
My brain is rigid. When I paint, I find it difficult to write - when I write, I find it difficult to paint. And today, I've also realised that when I work on the shop, I find it difficult to do any of the other two*. Since I can't do 2 hours of this and then 2 hours of that, I'll have to arrange my activities into larger blocks of time. This can't be all that difficult, or?
*I'm obviously not trying to do it simultaneously, but I guess you figured that out already. And look! I'm writing footnotes just like Bartimaeus (books by Jonathan Stroud), although hopefully my ego is a little less swollen.

Date: 2005-09-28 07:28 am (UTC)I was going to say send David over here. Perhaps he could work his magic on the neighbour's little guy, but it turns out that they were moving out, which was why he was wailing in the hallway all day.

Date: 2005-09-28 02:51 pm (UTC)Isaac's ten months now. *Hopefully* he'll start sleeping through the night again soon. Hegoes through periods of good sleep and bad sleep. I think the recent trip threw him off.
