Neck is still undecided. Knees just started to ache a bit now, which means that the Eucalyptamint lasts for about 12 hours. Not bad at all. Felix thinks the stuff smells yummy, he was so eager to lick my trainers that he fell off the desk. Before that he was determined to drink my coffee, so it ended up with kitty being thrown out of office. He's back again this morning sleeping on my arm as I'm typing this. *grin*

Aaaaaaannnnd it's kitten count-down. Two more days to go. I still haven't figured out the food separation thing. Do any of you guys have cats that mustn't eat the same food? What do you do?

I never had two, but friends of mine did, a young one and an older cat, and they still feed in different rooms. The older one eats in his office, with a set mealtime, and the younger one eats in her office, with a set mealtime and with extra food available in a place downstairs. I *think* the old one can't climb up there any more, but I could be wrong.

It may simply be that Willy has never truly adjusted to Amazon's presence and refuses to go where she goes in the house. They do have separate snuggle places!

There was almost constant supervision for a while in that household. They've done this twice, because she moved in with her cat when they married, and then she got a new cat after hers died. His is like the Energizer bunny!

So the short answer was supervised mealtimes in separate locations, I guess. And trying to teach each cat to stay out of the other's room.

I was thinking of feeding the kitten in the office and otherwise leaving Felix and Fisen's food out as always. A bit of low protein food, shouldn't harm the kitten as long as he eats mainly kittenfood, I guess.

And if there's another room where you spend a lot of time, you could keep a little closable container handy and open it for the kitten while you're doing whatever, once in a while. But I think your plan sounds good. :)
