It's been lovely weather all weekend, but we stayed indoors because of kitten. Something significantly bigger than a sparrow has been at one of the bird food nets. The net is torn and half the nuts inside gobbled up. It's fun to watch the nets (an opinion shared by all three kitties). I saw one Great Tit (yeah, yeah save your snickers) use his tiny claw much like a parrot to pull the net closer. I've been keeping track of the birds I've seen on the terrace this summer:

Great Tit
Crested Tit
House Sparrow
Greenfinch
Nuthatch
Red-throated Trush (Took me a long time to pin this one down, as I'd never seen it before. Apparently it's natural habitat is south-eastern Siberia and it is an infrequent guests in Switzerland)

From the terrace, but not counting as they weren't on the terrace: blackbird, common buzzard, grey heron, crow, raven (I think, left my binoculars in Denmark).

Kitten is still not accepted, but it's getting better. Especially Felix is coming around. He's sleeping in my arms as I'm writing this while kitten is dozing on the chair beside us. As for Fisen; he now only hisses when the kitten comes too close. Mostly it's like this:

Kitten: *slowly approaches Fisen*
Fisen: *evil eyes* "Stay there, kid."
Kitten: *stops*
Fisen: *friendly eyes* "Gooooood boy."
Kitten: *inches closer and closer*
Fisen: "I don't believe this... Hisssssssss! GROOOOOWL!"
Kitten: *drops to the floor* "I'm little."

Of course kitten is asking for it. He likes to follow Fisen around, and if Fisen enters a room, kitten will lie across the doorway and block the entrance.

I want to rub my nose all over the furry little thing, while making silly noises.

Are you going to rename him? I expect an F name, you know: Follet, Farley, Fennel, Fizz. . . ;)

hehe...actually he likes that.

It won't be an F name...it looks as if it's going to be a J name. :)

Good! Jagger is a dreadful name, decidedly unmusical and almost violent-sounding. (We didn't pick it.)

Good heavens, Fisen and Felix and J--? You're spoiling the alliteration! :)

*lol* The Felix and Fisen wasn't on purpose. When we considered taking in Frisbee, I was actually starting to wonder if it was some kind of cosmic joke.
