I caught him on camera! Isn't he pretty?




Jonesy is by far the naughtiest pet, I've ever had - and that says a lot. It's not that he figures out a lot of mischief to get in to. It's that he repeats the mischief again and again and again. If I'm not actually watching him, it'll take a few seconds for me to registrer the deed and another few seconds for an "ah-ah" or a spray with the waterbottle. It then takes another few seconds for Jonesy to get out of the mischief - and perhaps another ten before he's ready to go again. The way I see it, I have maybe 30 seconds of peace every minute. Did I mention he is C's cat?

Of course, he's lovely when he's tired. This morning I let him in the bedroom for a cuddle:

Jonesy: *purrrrrrr*
M: "Hi Jonesy-bonesy"
Jonesy: *settles on the top of May's pillow*
M: *goes back to sleep*
Jonesy: *paws May's head gently - HEY! What's that?*
M: "That's my ear, Jonesy."
Jonesy: *I BITE!*
M: "Ouch! Cut it out!"

I resorted to the tricks I picked up during my youthful birdwatching days; I moved very slowly. It took a few minutes to get the camera ready and in position, then I used the maximum zoom factor and got two pictures of him. He was very skittish during the whole process, so he had definitely seen me. :)
