Guess I'll have to watch the movie now
Feb. 3rd, 2004 10:04 amTook this on-line test:
Have almost finished the Dryad painting - I just need to correct her lower back once the background has completely dried. I've also made a sketch for a Hokusai/Klimt inspired zodiac - am starting with Pisces. It's a bit of an experiment; oil pastels on heavy, rough surfaced acrylic paint paper.
Started playing Zelda Sunday. I love that game! It's so much fun - and its movie sequences are blissfully short.
I should probably also put up part 10 of "The Hunt". Either that or fix the ending of "Mind, Body and Soul", I really want to send that one out.
On another note - small rant coming up - in the light of yesterday's latest scandal, I find myself wondering about those celebrities that just HAVE to have attention. What is it with them? How far are they willing to go to have this "LOOK AT ME!" need satisfied? So far we've seen a baby held out over a sheer drop of how many meters? A baby brought close to feeding crocodiles, women kissing, the shortest marriages in history and now - oh dear *insert heavy irony here* - a breast! My friend has a two-year old daughter suffering from the same affliction, and to be quite honest her methods aren't that different from what we see in the media: do something outrageous until all eyes are riveted on you - and if that doesn't work: Throw a fit. What happened with the art/craft/skill speaking for itself? I doubt that the audience yesterday will think back on the musical performance when remembering this event. END OF RANT.
- Not quite...Half of my annoyance stems from this making front page news over most of the world. I know it's because it sells, but that doesn't help either.
Cats are sleeping.
