Woke up to the delightful sound of a cat vomitting: "gurg-rrrgurg GURG UARGG", for the uninitiated. Scrambled out of bed to see a small brown puddle in the hallway. Carefully, tip toed around the entire hallway looking out for more puddles, as cats can't seem to vomit in one spot. Oh no, they vomit, step back a few paces, vomit, step back a few paces...you get the idea. In any case, there was just that one spot. Thinking that I'm been pretty lucky, I wipe it off and wash it. Then I get dressed and go into the office to turn on the computer, where I step on something squishy and wet. Right. He didn't just vomit and step back. He vomitted twice, then LEFT the room to vomit in another room. Jolly good job, Fisen.
Have almost caught up with my e-mails. The rest of the afternoon is dedicated to finish varnishing a piece of wood that C needs to make a shelf, reviewing and writing, then I'll see if I can squeeze in some general cleaning of the apartment before C comes home. I found some nifty recipes: tomato soup, marinated chicken filets and brownies, so if there's time, I might go to Migro and shop a bit for tonight. Be a real house wife for a change and serve a three course home-cooked meal.
I realized that "The Hunt" needs a lot of rearranging and snipping. It also needs better setting. However, I am beginning to see what the finished version might look like and that's pretty exciting. Hopefully by then I'll have learned enough about writing so that the next book won't take that long to write.
