hehe, there are even devices available with recorded sound of dog barking. you connect it with your door bell...
a analysis of data gathered by Swiss police as well as interviews with burglars showed that almost 90% of burglars refrain from their plan if there's a dog in the house.
you are already bothered by salesmen on your door. it's getting worse now: I will now advertise in your Livejournal :
BASEL TOURISM ADVERTISEMENT: there are some events coming up in and around Basel: Chienbääse (http://www.livejournal.com/users/tank_boy/2002/02/18/) [evening of 29th February 2004] and Fasnacht (http://www.livejournal.com/users/tank_boy/2002/02/21/) [1st-3rd March 2004]. I'm not enthusiastic about it at all and if possible, I will go skiing during those days, but people who haven't seen it before seem to like it.
A fake dog bark, eh? I think, I'll wait until I can get the real thing again. Until then I should let C answer the door when he's home. I swear, he's worse than a Mastino Napolitano having a very bad day. :)
Claustrophobic is my middle name, so I won't be going to Basel for the celebrations. I like it nice and quiet. The problem of being small (apart from not being able to reach the top-shelves in the supermarket) is that I won't be able to see anything anyway.
