Apr. 2nd, 2006 08:22 pmC and I just watched a "problem dog" program and he's now changed his mind about such a job being too dangerous for me, in fact he thought it would suit me! *wide grin"
I cooked medieval hattes today. It took a lot of egg yolks and much less meat than I had expected. The taste was completely different from anything I've tasted before, sweet, meaty and spicy at the same time. It was interesting, but it's not something I will be cooking again and C did not like it. BUT it was worth it and I will definitely be trying out other stuff as well. AND I used all the egg whites to make meringues: vanilla, nut, chocolate and dates. They are veeery tasty and go perfectly with C's newly invented dessert.
We went for a walk yesterday instead of going to the natural history museum. A 1 1/2 hour walk. We saw frogs and trillions of frog eggs, all in the ditch along the forest path. I don't think they'll make it to the tadpole stage, as the ditch will probably dry out. I wonder if I should go gather some eggs and have them hatch here. Is this allowed in Switzerland? Anyone know? And we came across a patch of old bushes completely covered with cobwebs - true Arachnophobia style, and we saw flowers, lots of beautiful flowers there weren't there a week ago. We also watched male sparrows fighting over a mate, and this morning the same thing, but with buzzards. Wonderful air acrobatics. They've also started screaming/whistling just like you hear it in old western movies.
Isn't life just wonderful? :)
