I'm not sure what to laugh at here. He only needs one. .. .or he needs two so definitely. . . because on most trips, I need at least four. Two coming, two going. Inbetween I can write in my journal.
Ah yes, you need to know C to appreciate this one. The thing is he's not a reader. He reads an average of 1/2 a book a year - during good reading years that is. :)
I'm a two book minimum traveller - and I almost always buy books while I'm on holidays.
Ah, ok. Yes, I understand the laughing. Has he tried short stories? My brother never has time to read, so I used to get him the annual SF collection of short stories. Till my mom found out about it and started getting it first.
Yes, I got him a collection of short stories, Russian author per request (Dostovjeski). That for Christmas 2003 - he's read three stories so far (60-70 pages).
I've only seen him caught up in a book once, "Das Parfum". It took him more than one year to finish, but he read the last third in one go and even had to stay up late to do so, so there's hope for him yet, I think. :)
The problem might be that he works a lot 56-60 hours a week, somtimes more, so when he finally sits down to read he only manages a couple of pages before he falls asleep and that's rarely enough to get drawn into a book.
