Priests in the southern part on Denmark want more Sundays off. They are complaining that they do not get to spend enough time with their families. Excuse me? It takes what...six years of education to become a priest? Since you chose this line of work, I assume that you are a devout Christian and that you have been attending church regularly. At what point came the shocking surprise that priests are actually required to work on Sundays? The priests says that in this day and age, people all have cars and it should not be a problem to visit a neighbouring church for sermons. That is not the point! And even if it were, many elderly people do not have their license or their cars any more and have to rely solely on public transport. Even non-Christian me wonders if you've totally lost your marbles. The bishop responsible for that area seems to think the same, although he's phrasing it much nicer than I am.

Okay, that's just lame. There are some things that are just requirements of a job, and you really need to suck it up and get on with your life. Preaching on Sundays, if you're a priest, is one of those things.
