I read out of genre.
Dec. 23rd, 2005 12:53 pmYesterday I bought a book. The book was place under either under "Crime" or "Popular Fiction", I forget which, but it was right below The Da Vinci Code. Perfect company for a night alone. The blurb read crime/thriller/race-against-time. Only it wasn't, it was crime/religious horror. I read that as well, but it was a bit like ordering pizza and have the delivery guy turn up with lasagna. Add to that that I don't think the book is very well written. It has 1st person POV, 3rd person POV and omni? I'm about half way through and have been placed in the head of no less than nine (could be more, I'm losing count) different POV characters, plus the omni. This book is supposedly an international bestseller, so I am reading on mostly to see how the author is going to tie this one up.
I won't finish today, though. Lots of housework and baking to do. *sigh - about the housework, not the baking*
