A job that gives me no pleasure.

I hate sewing. I'd rather go to the dentist than shorten trousers, but with just one pair left of wear in public trousers, I had to bite the bullet. Four pairs, 3 of them mine - one of these a 2 year old pair I'd been using by just folding up the legs, and 1 pair belonging to Costas. It took me 4 hours, but that was including several interruptions, ranging from wiping up water, scolding cats, grumbling in general and picking up poop.

Since I was already working, I also had C hold the ladder while I climbed up to fix the steps on the stable roof (for the chimney sweeper), did laundry and tidied the kitchen.

Oh, I lie. Sewing today did give me pleasure. I now have 3 pairs of trousers to wear AND I probably don't have to shorten any for the next couple of years. :D
