...left this morning. Apart from the dinner time issues and having to supervise the dog around toddler at all times it was quite a pleasant visit. My only regret is that parents were so busy with toddler that we hardly got to speak to them and catch up.
The advantages of having a toddler around with parents giving her their full attention is of course that I get all the toddler cuteness without any of the fussing - and she's cute as a button. I could just gobble her up, err that is if parents would let me. *grin*
And I have to admit that I'll miss her incessant babbling:
Mim = yours truly
Coo = C
Ofi = Lia (abbreviated from Vuffie)
O'Moo-phy = Murphy (by far my favourite "abbreviation". Too cute!)
Odo = Orlando
In a way it's sad to think about that next time we see her, she'll be actually speaking.
My brain has been more or less on stand-by during the visit. Didn't write a single word and once alone again today, I promptly zonked out for a morning nap. Got to get into gear again. I did get an idea for a new novel and I'm itching to start painting again, Ziggy Art has a 20% discount on Winsor and Newton canvasses(!), but both will have to wait until I finish Elpida, because I know that if I start painting it will become near impossible to write. That part of my brain just refuses to multi-task.
