May. 26th, 2006 07:41 amYesterday was a holiday. I'd forgotten all about it and C kept it secret to surprise me. So I slept late and woke up to a husband doing the dishes and making breakfast. :)
Back to normal now, but since this is probably the last week of the asparagus season, C will be a lot less stressed after today.
My parents, aunt and uncle from Malaysia will not be coming to Switzerland after all this year. They have cancelled in favour of a London trip. I have to admit that I'm somewhat relieved, although I will miss seeing my aunt and uncle. They were supposed to come right after we return from our holidays in Denmark (where I will see my parents anyway), which would mean returning home to washing, cleaning and entertaining - at the same time, we might be starting the preparations to move, and moving from one country to another is somewhat complicated, especially with the company and shop.
Oh and my hayfever has started (grass allergy), so far it's not too bad, lots of sneezing, some noseblowing and a tiny itch in my ear. I haven't started with the allergy pills yet. Trying to hold out as long as possible since they knock me out. Not as much as the cough pills I took this winter, though (boy were they great for sleeping) - with the allergy pills I'm not out cold, but rather zombi-ing around.
I haven't been painting, but I managed to write a bit last night while watching High Crimes and Misery with C. A strange thing happened, I don't know if it was because I was partly distracted by the movies or if it was my new approach to writing POV, but I actually had a moment where I was Adric. I'm not sure if it'll reflect in my writing, but it was a whole lot easier to get the words down.
mnfaure talked about lists the other day, so I thought I'd start posting mine here. That way the whole world can see how few items I manage to cross out every day. Sharing is caring, ha-ha.
