Peeking in...
Jun. 20th, 2006 03:56 pmLet's see...MS, arthritis, hayfever, PAIN in my arm after sanding down the table, headache...oh, and that strange rash? It developed - and spread. From one knee, to my eyes, to my cheek, to both armpits, to my neck, to my arms, to my hands and to my stomach and legs. Today I went to the dermatologist. She said it was not prickly heat (which I thought it was), but some kind of contact eczema and that I had it bad. She gave me some icky tasting tablets, some icky smelling cream and some special soap. She also said that should do the trick and that I should be as good as new in a few days. YAY! I'm going in for a check-up on Friday and once again at a later date to find out what triggered the outbreak.
So I've taken my hayfever tablets, the weather is nice and hot, so I'm not feeling the pain in my knees, MS is not bothering me, pain in the arm and headache is gone. Aaaand, after I swallowed the icky tablets (tastes like mould) and put on the icky cream (smells like mould), the itchiness is almost gone! I still look like something you'd rather not meet in a dark alley - or anywhere else for that matter, but I might actually get some sleep tonight instead of lying awake doing maths in my mind to distract myself from the itch. Hell, why not up the scales a bit? C might even get a hug! That is if he wants to hug mould smelly me.
PS. Dermatologist will be going on my favourite people list.
