My first cat, Tyksen, had a deep throaty meOrw, Fisen had a soft mmrrrrrrrrau, Felix has a husky mau...and Jonesy, Jonesy mostly squeaks iw-iw, iw-iw. I've heard him say a clear me-aw a few times, he warbles like a bird when he's playing or up to no good, and he makes frustrated ah-ah sounds when catching flies, but mostly it's squeaking, I guess it requires less effort. He's a chatterbox. It's like living with a rusty hinge.

The Navicat growls more often than she talks :D And dear Chessie is squeaky too. Her whole body rocks when she squeaks, it's the cutest!
