I find myself making long LJ posts and then deleting them because they are too personal or too ranty or too whiny. I never knew I was such a ranty-whiner, until I started posting to LJ - something that clearly needs working on. In any case the writing down helps me get the issues off my chest and it lets C hear more than just "Argh! Argh! Aarwaraaaghhh!" when he comes home. :)

Does anyone else do this?

I put a "Private" lock on some of my posts. And I have quite a few different Friends filters. I've started looking upon journaling as a type of "Morning Pages."

I use a locked WordPerfect file for the really ranty/whiny stuff. And I have a few close friends I email such things to occasionally.

I do it a lot. I also use the Private Lock. Sometimes we just need to whine. :)

I've never been smart enough to use the private lock for those, though, so they just never get written.

Of course, if someone is unlucky enough to yahoo hello while I'm in such a mood them often get the rant dumped on them. This is not a warning!! Continue to yahoo, ok! :D

i used to do that, but now i just let it all out. but try to remind myself to make some posts when i'm happy as well. 8-)
LJ is MADE for letting a rant out into cyberspace! better out there than in here (uh...i'm pointing to myself now), i say.
