Sep. 25th, 2006 10:07 amC is back from his whiskey tour of Scotland! I haven't been lonely, but it's nice to have him home again. Aaaand he brought presents. A Glenfiddich honey and a Glenfiddich tea mug, which unfortunately did not survive the journey.
Today I'm starting anew when it comes to juggling work, art, and writing. I used to work in 3-4 day spurts and then burn out by the 4th or the 5th day. Now I'll try a mild jog instead and see where this leads me. I will not get things done as fast, but in the long run, I suspect I will get more done and the guilt of all the blah days will hopefully fade into oblivion.
Apart from dusting and vacuum cleaning the office is finished. Jonesy has reclaimed his favourite spot on the spare table and now dozes next to me most of the day. Felix is in his usual place on the second office chair. So I'm literally surrounded by kitties.
During all the physical work this week, my brain has apparently had the time to juggle a few writing related issues into place. The negative side of this is that I realise how much longer I have to go before I become the writer I want to be, the positive side is that I now have something to work with. I have to admit that I find it scary how long it takes me to get from the point where I "know" something to the point where I can actually implement and use that knowledge.
Oh...and I did manage to buy some clothes Friday to replace my dark coloured clothes, which I'm allergic to. Went to H&M, spent 15-20 minutes there going through all the options. There wasn't much choice when it came to light coloured clothes, but I came home with 1 pink T-shirt, 1 pink somewhat strange cardigan/woolly thing, 1 white and 1 light brown blouse. How girly girl can I get? I never used to wear pink. In fact before moving to Switzerland, the last time I wore pink was when I was 12 years old. Ah well, let's see if I can get this allergy under control. So far I haven't been terribly successful and the worst part is I have no clue why.
