Waiting for the dermatologist to call with the results from my blood tests; I've done something to one of the muscles around my knee, which hurts like crazy everytime I try to bend my leg; the thigh on my other leg is sporting a huge, beautiful bruise* because I cut a vein during injection yesterday - blood everywhere! I have post-injection headache and still have an icky sore throat plus cough.

We woke up this morning to a poopy butt Jonesy and a pooped floor. C cleaned away the worst of it, so all I had to do was to wash the floor and cat. Floor was slightly more cooperative than cat.

Despite all this I feel good. I feel a bit daft being this happy, but I am. I can't help it. Right now, I'm happy! I'd sing the theme song from Life of Brian if it wouldn't make me cough my lungs out.

* These cut-vein bruises really are beautiful. Because the blood swells up from deep within the skin, the resulting bruise looks like a purple, blue flower with a pale yellow centre, surrounded by a red ring. I'll have to share this bruise fascination here, because C thinks it's icky and refuses to share my enthusiasm.

Yikes! I'm glad you're feeling happy, though.

Fascinating. Don't you enjoy watching these things change as they heal?

The bruise, I mean, not the poopy butt. Oh, how I detest poopy butt. It's enough to make me want to shave the dog.

Love those moments of happiness. Can't see the clouds moving or the wind blowing or figure out why they happen the way they do, fish jumping in an ocean I can't plumb, but it's sure fun.

Ugh, poopy butts are no fun. C wants to have a permanently shaved butt Jonesy as well.

I love watching things heal, I'm tempted to make a video diary over my bruise. *grin*

I once had an I.V. or blood draw where the nurse hit a valve or something so the needle wouldn't insert all the way so she had to make another stab at it a little lower. I had the most lurid bruise running down my forearm. It was huge. I found the chartreuse phase particularly gruesome. :-)

hehehe...yeah, happened to me once as well, both my arms looked like they'd been run over by a truck. It really is ridiculous how much bruising one needle can cause.

Mm, bruises.

:P

In dance, we used to compare bruises to see whose was worst. :D
