Dilemma, dilemma...

We went to see the kittens yesterday and had our hearts set on Zorro (there are three available males, Zorro, Zac and Zulu). The breeder said that Zorro and Zulu have similar personalities and both match our requirement of a playful, curious and rough kitten. Zac on the other had was quieter and tended to perfer women over men. Only when we were there Zac and Zulu were the most playful (Zac clearly DID perfer women) and Zorro was more quiet. Zac is not an option for us, as Felix already is a women's cat and it's better if we have a cat who interacts with both of us, also we're not keen on his colouring (he's more cream coloured than red)

We both perfer Zorro's face. I prefer Zorro's colouring, but C prefers Zulu's and Zulu is currently the biggest of the two. Zorro was more cuddly, Zulu was too busy to cuddle. What to do, what to do...

Overall the kittens were CUUUUUUTE and totally addicted to shoelaces. Photos are under the cut:

They look much the same color in the Zulu and Zorro picture; is Zulu actually a little paler?

I do not envy you this decision. But how come you can get another cat and not a dog, huh? (Just into tormenting this morning, I guess, sorry.) (And not that dogs are better or anything, as I much prefer cats except for the whole being able to breathe thing.)

Zulu is a red makarel tabby (as far as I remember) that is he has white in his fur and more of a pattern. Zorro is more uniformly red, both have the same red colour, although Zorro's might fade out a bit.

Ah, the dog. Yes, I would have preferred to get a puppy, but we can't get one before the move is over next year, and there will be a lot of travelling back and forth without the pets we're settled in. Something a young cat can handle much better than a puppy.

True in general, at least, and the cats will have each other. I hear there are some cats that hate being left. My friend K's cat would wait until she was about to get home and puke right in front of the door. K always had someone come and feed her, but instead after that I would go over and stay with the cat. I spent many pleasant hours lying on K's sofa needing to go to the bathroom and not wanting to get up and disturb the cat.

I also clicked through an incredible number of cable channels at an hour when the only decent thing on was belly dancing. :)

hehe...yeah my cousin has that kind of patience as well. When she's not around Felix only gets long stretches on uninterrupted cuddle when we fall asleep on the couch. And he's one of the cats that doesn't appreciate being left. He's fine for a couple of days, but longer than that and he's likely to vomit. How upset he gets usually depends on the cat sitter.
