Nov. 13th, 2006 05:50 pmJust came back from the vet. Felix behaved like an angel as always and I'm proud of him. Tail problem is still a mystery, but definitely not serious. Felix got an anti-itch injection (in case it's itching, since it obviously not hurting) and tablets to take every second day for the next 12 days. From the way this vet is speaking, we can understand that not many cat owners have the same cooperative cats as we do...and this made me realise that I'm not being entirely fair to Jonesy, because he's getting there:
- 90% of the time, he listens to the ah-ah (stickers, cello-tapes and beads are the exceptions to the rule)
- he knows and obeys the "out" (means leave whatever room you're in, which is a very practical)
- 99% of the time, he respects the cat-free zones
- he still likes to play rough, but he has learned to control his strength, even a full back leg stomp attack will not leave as much as a mark on our arms and a quiet "ouch" is enough to make him stop.
- he's getting better with the brushing
- he pretty much lets himself handle and be touched where-ever we chose to touch him, including checking his teeth, ears and eyes (not too keen on the eyes, though).
Of course he's still Jonesy, the dastardly daring bonesy-boy, the ticket-conductor and sticker-fiend number one, but I gues we can learn to live with that. :)
