Zonked out on the couch yesterday evening, then woke up to stagger into bed and zonked out there. I didn't even have my evening cup of tea, but I feel rested. I must have slept for ten hours or so.

Worked, did a batch of laundry, tidied dining space, dusted and tidied the office yesterday, something that involved moving some 100 kg of semi-precious stones and my old computer, but it looks good now and I have so much free desk space, I could have a party there!

More work and cleaning today, but no more stress, I think. :)

Dermatologist called with the results from my hair samples. Looks like I'll be losing more hair, but that it's going the right way. Infection, ezcema or whatever it is seems to have disappeared from the back of my head and everything there is back to normal. Front and top of my head will still need some time, but there are lots of new, healthy hair sprouting out. Lessons learned from all this? I'm not vain. And losing your hair, and not being able to wear make-up or use nice shampoos or creams is really not that big a deal in the big scheme of things.

Good to hear things are looking better on the work and health fronts. And sleep! Hooray for sleep.

I didn't think you got that message because LJ told me the database was unavailable! How odd. Anyway, I was just looking up nereis diversicolor and I found some pictures and some articles, but I didn't see anything about web-spinning. They look like water centipedes!

heh...yes, they do actually. I never thought about that. :)

They're very beautiful, though. Like little rainbows.

Webspinning was a quite new discovery when I studied the nereis diversicolor almost 10 years ago. It's more a back-up food plan for them, so you don't see it that often, and it was difficult to get them to spin. Basically they spin a net at the entrance of their sand tube and then make wave-like motions with their bodies to suck the water through the net.

PS. Livejournal has been acting up lately. I get a lot of those error messages as well.
