Nov. 29th, 2006 05:36 pmToday was exhausting. My brain is mush, even Adric has cleverly removed himself from the chaos of overloaded neurons. Day of tomorrow is starting to look more and more like a fact.
What I'd really like to do right now? Sit in warm cafe Garibaldi in miserable weather Denmark and chat to a friend over a cup of hot cocoa. I don't know if it's a woman's thing, but chit-chatting with friends is a perfect solution to clearing up brain-mess. For me, at least. I always feel better about myself and the world after a nice talk. I guess men use sex much the same way?
Since I'm not in Denmark and since I have no friends of my own nearby, I'll have to settle for a cup of tea and a piece of chocolate on my own. I could call a friend, but they're probably all in the middle of preparing dinner right now - and a telephone conversation is just not the same as going out and splurging a bit on food and drinks.
Anyway. Thing that have been going on in my brain while I was working:
Chocolate cake baking.
Oatmeal crispy cookie baking.
My own cat comic strip.
My own comic.
Paintings for the 2007 October exhibition.
Making polymer dolls.
Adric helping me with the novel.
And strangely enough how I miss being outside, taking lake-samples in the pouring rain and freezing my butt off. And being surrounded by people, who also think it's wildly exciting when the nereis diversicolor you caught earlier start to spin nets.
Note the absence of anything even remotely work or housework related.

Date: 2006-11-30 08:48 am (UTC)Yesterday I was wishing for cold and wind outside, candles and hot chocolate chocolate inside, well you know, hygge
PS. My husband is always making fun of Danish people, because everytime we meet someone new, we ask where they come from, where they went to school etc. to find things we have in common, mostly including family and friends. He says with a population of over 5 million people, we still act as if we're in a village and it's not possible to be connected to everyone like that. So that's what he was like when I told him, I'd met you online, but even he was impressed to find out that we have the same birthday, he thought I was pulling his leg. hahaha
