Snow, snow, snow!
Mar. 25th, 2004 10:11 pmSo yesterday I though I'd clear the parking lot for C. I take out the BIG snow shovel and start digging in (the snow is of the WET kind and very heavy, on top of that it's pure water at the bottom, which is of course approx 30-40 cm down). I clear the parking lot, part of the pavement and have just started attacking the piled up snow at the road side when I hear this noise rattle...rattle...flump! A load of snow falls from the roof, right in the middle of my newly cleared lot! Being a patient person I clear the patch again, when rattle...rattle...flump! a second load of slides of the roof!
Oh...and a Swiss guy went to the trouble of rolling down his car window to yell a wolf whistle comment. My first ever in Switzerland. Apparently small women with big snow shovels working their behinds off is what appeals to the Swiss male. In Denmark it's more skirts and high-heeled shoes.
