Felix is definitely fed up with the fussing. He's been a good boy, though, and he even tried to eat the pills on his own - I guess they were just too icky, but he gets points for trying. Points are also awarded for being sweet even though I'm doing something that's unpleasant.

Murphy: Hissss
M: Jonesy, don't bite the kitten!
Jonesy: I'm not! Just chewing him gently! See for yourself.
M: *checks kitten, who's perfectly fine and eager to retaliate* Ewwww he's all wet.
Jonesy: See I was just licking him - with my teeth.

Injection side effects hit like a sledgehammer this week. Spent Friday night with bone ache, head ache, nausea, and I had to keep telling myself that no-one has ever died of hypothermia in a 19 degree bedroom. Yesterday was better with just a bit of headache, but the nausea is back today. I'm not sure why this time was particularly bad. Perhaps I didn't inject deeply enough into the muscle or something like that. Sometimes I swear I'd be perfectly healthy if it weren't for all the treatment I'm getting.

I feel I'm getting no-where with the writing. My word count metre seems to be standing still, I know there's no other solution than to plod on, but I feel the need to do something that yields quicker results, painting, drawing, jewellery making or perhaps try to make a polymer doll/sculpture?

It's true that things don't get done unless you do them, but it's also important to be able to finish things; it gives a person a real boost. Go for it. Besides, there are times when doing something totally different helps a lot. Like going for a walk instead of sitting at the computer hating what you're doing. Or drawing a wild freeform picture instead of doing tight, tense beadwork.

Here's some chocolate, that will make the whole thing better!

And I love your kitties! They're SO much fun.

I hope you are feeling better today. *hugs* And don't feel bad about taking a break from the writing. We all need them from time to time. You can even put A down for a while and return to Adric's saga. No guilt involved. Do whatever works and keeps you feeling creative.

Thanks. :)

PS. The advice about putting the current WIP down to work on an old piece sounds awfully familiar. *grin*

*is a woman of few ideas* :P

Or I have been told that? Well, whoever said it first, it means good ideas endure!

I believe I said the same thing regarding TTD and your current WIP. :))

now, see, I thought you might be referring to that. :P

Funny how we all have our own turn to pass along the advice. :D

Hehe...yes, now the questions is: are we going to heed it?
