Dec. 11th, 2006 10:29 amI've been determined not to let the medicine side effects rule my life, so I've actually been socializing this weekend. Saturday we went to a Chinese restaurant with friends. The food was modified to suit the European taste, but it was good quality. The restaurant was run by the owner, his wife and her brother, I think. They did 99% of the work and were extremely nice, but the husband, and especially the wife, were such a klutzes - much, much worse than me. There was spilled sauce, candles accidentally blow out, and a toppled child. *grin*
Yesterday after I got my nausea under control, we went for a stroll in the city. They had Sunday open with lots of small stalls and a few street musicians. Needless to say the place was packed and we had to park quite a distance away from the centre. We went to a fancy pants tapas and wine bar, had a glass of white wine and shared some cold tapas. After that we bought some roasted chestnuts at a stall and C had an Olma bratwurst with bread. Came home, soaked in the tub and then cooked dinner.
Am almost back to normal today, got up early and have already answered E-mails, prepared a re-stock silver bead order, I have my second batch of laundry in the machine and UPS just delivered som silver findings from Israel.
Last night was the first time after Murphy's arrival that we had the bedroom door closed all through the night. It went well, I slep well. Saturday night I had C on one side of me, Jonesy and Felix cuddled up together on the foot end of my bed, and Murphy sprawled across my pillow. Triple synchronised purring. It was awfully cute and cosy, but having just 0,5 squaremetres to lie on and being unable to stretch my legs, reminded me of why I don't want to share my bed with the cats.
And it's amazing how fast something can become a cat-habit. Last night as I was getting ready for bed, Felix was already waiting in front of the closed bedroom door. Oh, and ever since we brought up the cat carrier for Felix's numerious vet visits, Jonesy has claimed it as his very own den used for deep sleeps.
Of course this morning there has been a lot of catch-up cuddling. Murphy has this idea that he absolutely must sleep with his head in someone's hand or on someones arm.
