Dec. 25th, 2006 12:52 pmC and I celebrated Christmas alone yesterday.* First we slept in, then got up, ate some German Christmas Stollen and then made gløgg. Afternoon was spent with playing cards, drinking gløgg and sneaking in presents. In the evening, assisted by C, I cooked honey-glazed roasted duck with a couscous, prune, apple, onion, almond filling. Served the duck with brown, sugar-glaced potatoes and sweet potatoes. We ate the whole thing.**
I didn't manage to finish C's present in time for Christmas, a painting inspired by three of his favourite artists, C gave me two gorgeous picture frames to hang up my paintings aaaaaaaand the newest Zelda game for wii! Zelda! Zelda! I have to finish the last game, so I can start on this one!
After opening presents and stuffing ourselves we watched Mirrormask which didn't have much to offer in way of plot, story or tension, but which was a visual feast. I loved, loved, loved the setting and style.
Got up late again to day and are now raiding the kitchen for breakfast.

*Scandinavian style with Christmas dinner, presents etc. all happening on the 24th.
**It was a small duck!
