I finally got a full 9 hours sleep and am feeling a lot less like a zombie.

So, the visit went well. It was great having them over. The children were delightful and fun. At the same time, as lovely and easy as they were, and as much as I enjoyed our alone time in the mornings while their parents slept in, their visit confirmed that motherhood isn't for me. I can't exactly put my finger on what it is, but part of it is definitely the lack of "me-time", that you have to be available for the children much of the day, that you cannot expect to sit undisturbed for hours on end while you do your own thing.

We had some fun conversations, though. 5 year old , E, likes to make up stories:

M: "What an imagination! Perhaps you'll be an author or a movie director when you grow up?"
E: "I'm not sure. Most of the time, I don't have a clue what I'm talking about."

My friend fell in love with a necklace given to me by a customer and bought materials to put one together herself. She has almost no beading experience, but it took her just a few hours Sunday afternoon and I have to admit that I thought her choice of beads and colours were nicer than the one given to me. She definitely has an eye for such things.

Otherwise we went to the mountains (snowballfight!), to a mountain village, to town and to a "Wildpark", shared some bottles of red, ate a lot, talked a lot, laughed a lot. C and S went for a long drive in the Z4 and discussed cars, taxes, tennis, houses. We are looking at a farm house just down the road from theirs.
