Oh dear god, there are five kittens! Lilith had semi-abandoned two of them and we found them by following pitiful and LOUD mewling. They seemed healthy enough, but cold, hungry and skinnier than the other three, I don't believe they could have survived on their own for the 4 days since she moved the three other kittens, so she must have been feeding them here and then.

We decided to see if she would accept them all together (she did) and will be stuffing her with food and looking into how we can help her keep all the kittens well-fed, as I suspect the abandonment was because five kittens were too much for her. She probably decided to put her bet on the strongest three and give the two remaining ones what was left of milk and affection.

Haven't decided yet what to do with all the kittens, only certain thing is that we want to keep the adventure-lurve kitten, which still has the most delightful little personality. While watching the kittens feed today, it also appeared to be the strongest.

So now we have five:

1 white and light grey
1 white and medium grey
1 white and dark grey
2 uniformly medium grey with a bit of white (the abandoned ones)

I'm glad you managed to find those other two! And glad that they're okay (well, okay enough) at the moment.

::gulp::

Five?

Yikes. Well, she is a lucky cat, and they are lucky kittens. I know finding them homes and doing something about spaying/neutering is a pain. . . and if I weren't allergic to cats Spencer would have moved in long ago. . . but I am almost jealous. I envy you the delights of their tiny selves, soft and squeaking and sharp-pointed in the paws, with those little fat-string tails and eyes going from milky to clear cat mystery. At least, if they are work, there is pleasure in them as well. :)

They are exactly like that, I'm often fighting with serious bouts of kitten love. :)

Eeee, they're alive. If I lived anywhere at all near you, I'd be seriously considering it... :)
