Woke up to a cold furnace. Not only that, but the water-valve had not shut down simultaneously, so there we were with no heat, no warm water, a wet furnace and 5 degrees celsius outside. Felix took a laid back practical approach to it all:

Truth be told I almost joined him, but alas I'm not a cat and had work to do. Help arrived and the furnace was fixed 1 hour ago. Water-temperature in our pipes is now 31 degrees already, soon there will be no more excuses not to do the dishes (although this was a GOOD one!).

And Rabia, C insisted on taking some photos for you of me making pear-pie, so if you want to take a peek, they are under the cut: :)

Wow, that makes a beautiful pie! Do you put anything in with the pears?

And BRRRR. Very sensible of Felix. I'm sure he would have enjoyed your joining him (respectfully, so he could suck heat from you without being jostled), but alas.

No, nothing in with the pears, the dough takes care of everything.

(and yes, Felix was lobbying for a joint cuddle *grin*)

Smart cat. What about Murphy, or is he too fluffy to get cold?

I love the look of that pie, btw. What a neat idea. Plans to go out and buy pastry and pears. (No, I don't make my own anymore. My hands are too hot and all I can construct is something deemed dangerous to the teeth and about as hard as concrete.)

*grin* yeah Murphy didn't give a hoot about the temperature drop.

Good luck with the pear pie, hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. :)

Thank you. And a big thank you from Felix. "Smart" is usually not a word assiciated with him (he's not the brightest bead in the bucket). :)

Argggghhh, sorry, couldn't resist. I love that word. Spork with a fork *and it's clearly past my bedtime*
