Nov. 22nd, 2007 12:29 amhahahaha...I seriously thought this would work:
Me: *Weighs Frasier. Weighs Lilith* - *breaks deworming tablets into appropriate doses* - "Here kitty, kitty, kitty. Look what I have!" - *hands Lilith and Frasier 1/2 a tablet each*
Lilith: *sigh* We're greedy, May. We're not stupid.

Cats smell ham with a bit of margarine. Eats 'treat' very fast before other cats get it. Finds nasty middle bit far too late. Glares at me.
'You dids it again, didn't you. I hates you.'

Date: 2007-11-22 10:17 am (UTC)I've never used treats. If they won't eat the meds on their own, I simply open their mouths, place the pill as far back as possible, close mouths and massage throats. I've used this method on my cats and dog, and did the same yesterday with Lilith and Frasier, and it was completely hasslefree. It's a matter of having the right technique and being quick and confident about the whole thing. :)
