rimturseAhhhhh...stress-level has plunged from red-alarm to orange. Dennis left this afternoon. Not that it has been any trouble at all having him here for the past 6 days. He was, as always, a perfect guest. I barely notice his presence, apart from his pleasant company.
Our new windows and doors have arrived, and I'm looking forward to seeing them in. They should prettify the house significantly and hopefully let in a lot less draft - not to mention that we'll actually be able to open the garden door.
Went to post two E-mail orders the other day...the process was not promising:
Post office worker: That'll be 21 kr. for this letter and 68 kr. for that letter.
M: I looked up the prices online and got 15 kr and 48 kr.
POW: *pulls up price list* Here, look. *points*
M: Only Switzerland is situated in Europe and not "rest of the world".
POW: Errr okay, that's the price then *points*.
M: No, because that's not the weight of the letters.
POW: *looks at letter on scale*. Okay, then that's the price *points*
M: Yes.
On top of that, she did not give me any forms to fill out and I'm pretty sure that's not right, so I hope the letters arrive okay. At that point, I'd been standing in the queue for ages, had C and Dennis waiting for me outside in the car and a dozen impatient people waiting in line behind me, sending me the evil eye for my fussing over 26 kr. price difference.
Kitten update:
Their eyes are changing colour going from blue to yellow, right now they are just murky green-brown.
Timid went out again and scared the s*** out of Frasier, who sauntered round the corner of the house without seeing him, resulting in Frasier catapulting vertically into the air, looking as if he'd stepped on a tightly wound spring, bwhahahaha.
Timid has a little of it, but Greedy, and in particular her right ear looks as if it's been curled backward with a hair iron. I've never seen anything like it at all, but it's cute.
Bold and Explorer are still just the prettiest little kittens - much more delicate than Timid and Greedy. I'm suspecting there are different dads involved. T and G are larger, black and white kittens, looking like the black has been sploshed randomly onto the white (giving Greedy a pirate's eye patch). B and E are more systematically patterned, each little face with the same tight pattern, but in different colours.
