This and that
Jan. 13th, 2008 09:51 pmNew front door, bathroom window upstairs and all basement windows are in. The front door completely changed the look of the house (much cuter!) and I am soooo pleased. We'll take pics as soon as the weather allows us to finish up by putting in the acrylic joint.

Bwhahaha...During the past few weeks I've been telling C "how on earth does C.B (best friend) stand living with S.O?" and "I could soooooo not live with him". The other day we went for evening coffee at their place, started discussing, and S.O said: "I could soooooo not live with you May."
The best thing was C's relaxed, laid back, slightly amused attitude to S.O's outrage. *grin*
S.O was "what do you think about all that, C?????" and C was like "I dont' mind, I just let May do whatever she wants". How can I not love my husband with statements like that? :))
(The topic was, as usual, pets and in particular the amount of money I spend on the cats (vaccinations, spay/neuter, registration, dewormer etc.) and that I took the kittens inside after Little died and when it became clear to me that they were not going to make it in the stables, having been born too late in the season. And my slight OCD in relation to pets, that if there are free-roaming cats in the basement where the washing machine is then I will check the inside of the machine, PLUS make sure I have a visual with all the cats before pressing "start".)
---------------------------------
The results of my soft-heartedness are doing great by the way. The day before yesterday Bold and Explorer joined Timid and Greedy in their outside adventures. C might just be right in his observation that Explorer is not the brightest bead in the bucket. All kittens except him immediately figured out how to get in and out of the new window, except Mr. Genius who continously kept banging his head against the glass.
Oh...and Explorer's affections? Are to be won through play. It took some time, but he now arches his little back for cuddles and even seeks me out for some scritching, although I'm not sure if it's because he mostly enjoys it or if he is just copying Bold and Timid who are super-cuddlers and clingy like baby monkeys.

Our drains are temporarily fixed without having to dig outside!

Date: 2008-01-13 10:04 pm (UTC)I don't find this at all strange. My 12 year old cousin decided to help mom with laundry once.
