rimturseWe went to a ceremony of raising the roof-tree this evening and had the pleasure of meeting more of the locals. Lovely people, builders, farmers, teachers, rescue workers who immediately switched to English when they found out C was struggling with the Danish.
Oh, and the cutest thing happened today, I was at registrer at the petshop just about to pay when this little boy (about 18 months old) runs up to me. He clearly wants to tell me something, but he's so excited that his mouth is opening and closing and not a sound comes out. Finally: "Wa-! Wa-! WABITTS! WABBITS!" (*)
Me: Did you see the rabbits? Aren't they sweet?
Little boy: *jumps up and down, nodding head vigorously* "WABBITS!" *RUNS back to wabbits*
(I hope his mom/dad finds his shoes and jacket and missing sock.)

(*) Since he was a Danish little boy, he didn't actually say "wabbits", but "kani-ni-ner".
