Mar. 25th, 2008 03:24 pmI survived! 8,4 kilometres each way, felt like 20.
I have no idea how long it took me, but it felt like ages and was generally a suffering experience. It had its moments, though. The weather was pretty neat, bright sunshine with the occasional snowfall - and the horrid looooong uphill stretch with the wind against me on the way out, was a lovely experience on the way back.
Oh and it's right what they say about riding a bike. You don't forget, but you get out of practise and out of shape. The first 100-200 metres on the gravel road with snow, ice and holes were very wobbly.
