Amazing customer service.

I was just contacted by the company who produced the default kitchen fitting. Apparently it's a batch production-issue. In all their years of doing business, they have never encountered a problem like this before and now my complaint was the 3rd this week. All broken fittings are from the same batch.

Their solution?
- They are sending me a new fitting
- They will cover the installation costs of the new fitting
- They will arrange for the broken fitting to be picked up at my address, so that I will have no shipping charges when returning it

I've talked about customer service before, why it is important and why I put so much emphasis on it in my own shop - and this is another example of it. Yes, there was a problem, but because of the customer service, the company has lost no points in my book. I will not have second thoughts ordering from them again or recommending them to others - unlike the company I ranted about some time ago, where the problem was actually much smaller than this one.
