Are you the reason why I've been spammed by Victor Bello for the past years?

OMG! At first I thought maybe they had just snagged the username you wanted, but to actually use your email address! You'd better change your password.

Oh, and the google account thing can probably get you the password she used if they send it to your email. So you can close her and go HA BITCH!

Yeah, I went right ahead and changed my e-mail password. Also "forgot" my password for my already established google account, while I couldn't see the old password, I got an e-mail link that allowed me to set a new one.

Then deleted all the Brazilian user info and as my first and last name wrote "The real owner of this e-mail address. Joined July 8. 2008"

That would explain all the Portugese spam mails with the same one or two guys inviting me to join this group all the time. If it's because of the google account she's been using it for years.

That is so creepy! How did she get your password? She must have had it so that she could activate the account. I would say that perhaps she mistyped the address when signing up, but these days you almost always have to confirm the address by clicking a link. You're lucky she didn't change the password and stole the address.
The ironic thing is you can't even email them and tell them off.

Well, I don't know how it is when signing up, but I had to click on a link sent to my e-mail address to change the password, so I'm assuming she would have to have access to my e-mail to get a similar link to activate the account?

Or maybe she typed in her data and a wrong (mine) e-mail address, the account was set up, but never activated because she didn't receive the activation e-mail?

If she hacked my e-mail (I don't know how), I'm very lucky she didn't do more.

Who hacks an email just to sign up for a google account though? She probably did enter the wrong adress and never activated it, but you would think she would have to activate it before she could type in her data.

Or is it possible that she could have created it with a different email and then tried to change her email address later and mistyped it?

Yeah that's the weird part, you'd have thought a hacker wouldn't have any scruples using the information for much more than a google account.

You might be right and she tried to change her e-mail address and typed mine instead of hers.

That's the only thing I can think of. You would think she would realise her mistake though and change it to the right thing. Especially if it's been going on for years.
