She had horrible, horrible food aggression when we got her, so she's been trained with "leave it" and "wait". The other day, C dropped two marinated pork chops on the floor right in front of her and while she was extremely interested, she didn't touch them.

Now there is the advantage of dogs over cats. My current cats are fussy and wouldn't fight over a chop, but my little Jasper? He would have snatched it out of midair and taken off at top speed. Reach out a hand to retrieve it and you would be drawing back a stump.

He had horrid food aggression all of his life. No person, or cat could come within the magic distance to his food bowl when he was eating. He perfected the art of clipping another cat around the head while still chowing down. Any presence too close would elicit a very angry growl. We actually had to train the kids not to make him growl as he was eating at the same time, and would end up with dreadful gas.

Heh, I never heard of a cat with that severe food aggression. Most of the cats I've had couldn't care less, except Greedy. She'll growl if there's something extra yummy on the plate and slam down her paw on the food if the others approach it (and she's by far the smallest), but she never attacks and if they're pesistent enough, she'll grudgingly share.

Yeah, it's okay. As a wordpress template it's actually a bit clunky. I'd like to be able to design my own, but as yet I do not have those skills :D
